battery replaced,
no code available,
dealer gave me procedure of key off hold 1 & 6,
key on and hold,
will read letter and 4 #'s,
continue to hold and will read another letter and 4 more #'s
those 8 #'s are the serial #,
with that he can get me the code,
not working,HELP IT'S THE OLD LADIES CAR :

I also tried this trick with an 03 or so Civic... didn't work either. My friend at the dealership told me it was only on the new cars, so maybe it started in 04. Check in the glovebox for the code, or somewhere under the dash on a panel, or on the backside of the ashtray. Honda doesn't put the sticker with the code on themselves, the dealership that first gets the car does, and those guys pick random places to put it.
