2000 civic si racecar project, anyone???
had some really bad news recently; my dad was in a car crash in his 2000 civic si. hit pretty hard in the drivers door; t-boned, basically. dad is out of the hospital now (fractured shoulder) and at home, so that is good.... car is not so good. insurance wants to total it...
car is bone bone stock, with 49k miles. has all the options. driven by a 70 year old man! this thing never saw vtec, except when i would pick it up to change the oil or wash it or rotate the tires... always mobil 1 and maintained by me. ran and drove perfect; it still runs and drives around in the impound yard. drivers door is smashed in; glass is gone in the drivers door. i think the unit body is tweaked; the door sill is pushed in at least 4-6 inches.
i am either going to strip it down and sell all the components, or sell it whole. i have the clear title right now....
anyone interested? email me with offers. i'll decide in the next week what route i will take.

Glad your dad's okay. Those new-for-'99 side door beams really do work...
On a side-note:
I'd love to see one of these as an [SSC-prepped] H5 car for something different.

Well, if ever there were a perfect car to part out... Holy crap!!! A 49k mile B16A driven my a 70 year old?! That's the friggin ark of the covenant!!!
More importantly, glad to hear your Dad is OK.
Good luck w/ parting it out (or keeping it).
