Default Good deal civic?

is this a good deal:
it will be my first car, in the future, maybe in about one year, i would want to put a new engine in it. Heres the info:
'90 Honda Civic w/ 67,xxx miles 5spd manual. MINT! -$1950.
That was as written by the seller. Is this a good deal?

Depends on the condition of the body and the car's maintenance history. The price isn't too far off (IMO) given the extremely low mileage, if it's all original.

Get it checked out by your own trusted mechanic first and then start at about $1400 if you really want it. Drive it for what it is and save your money for something you really would rather drive a few years later. Just my opinion from experience, nobody cares that you have a transplanted engine. It's still just a '90 Civic.

Now don't go flaming me y'all. It's just general good sense to not sink all your cash into a depreciating asset. If you can afford it and you love to do that kind of thing, well then, more power to you.

If I didn't want to sink all my money into a depreciating asset, I wouldn't feed myself.

Uhhhh... I don't think you understand what he was saying.

The truth is we all spend our money on depreciating assets, (ie an object that degrades with time) the best example of this would be ourselves. Everybody lives and dies, and we spend tons of cash keeping ourselves alive. The same goes with cars.

So in other words, spending money on a depreciating asset isn't a good reason not to buy a car.

Gosh, I can't believe I typed all of this...
