Default Broken Oil Squiters

When I pulled my crank out last night I noticed that 2 oil squiters were broken off, just the metal tubes and they were sitting in the bottom of the oil pan. How strange is that? There were no marks on the crank, which by the way has never been taken out before. I have heard of the crank hitting them only when they were put in wrong, but they have never been taken out either. I checked all the clearances and I was within spec for everything. I even called Baranco Acura and they had never heard of that happening. So any ideas before I put my motor back together?

Its usually not the crank but the bottom of the piston skirts that they hit. Is you motor a stock B18C5?

No the motor is not stock. It has or had JUN/Cosworth forged 12.3:1 pistions on stock rods. But the reason that I was taking the crank out was because one of the pistons is broken and I have to do a rebuild.

I used to have a gr-s block that had a spun rod bearing, and one of the oil squirters where broken just like yous. The strange part was that it was not the same cylinder that spun the bearing..... I am not sure what causes it but it has to be somthing hitting the the squirter. I just repaced the squirter for like 20 bucks.
