im having a problem i think
i just got my 93 rs this week
and i noticed that the antenna wouldnt go all the way down
it would go down until there is about 6inches left to go
can nebody help me with this problem

The problem with power antennas is that the slightest bend can prevent it from
going all the way down. the only solution is unplug the power to it when it is all the way up or down or buy a new one.

 

but even when i try to put it down manually it wont go all the way down

 

bent!! the best thing to do is extend it all the way and try to staighten all the kinks out as best you can...be careful not to make the problem worse!!

 

Hey redman...does your antenna make a grinding noise when you turn your radio on and off? if so, there are some little plastic gears inside it that are stripped out, they need to be replaced. Mine went out a few weeks ago. I'm looking into doing an S2000 type swap...something that won't break again...lemme know if you need any help or suggestions with fixing it.
