I did an extensive search on the topic and have the 3 brands to choose from.

JDM hp $39.99
JC Whitney $19.99
Mr Gasket $25-30

Is there really a big difference between these locks?

all I can tell you is this... don't get this expecting it to serve as hood pins. I have seen cases of where the CF/Fiberglass hood has popped up and opened on the freeway. It is advised that you use this with hood pins.</TD></TR></TABLE>

what? the person probably installed the hood locks wrong. they serve just as good as hood pins
