Default Reset ECU

How do I reset my ECU, or check engine light. Someone said that by unplugging the Vtec solenoid that I automatically tripped the CEL. So I figure if I just reset the ECU, and there isn't really a problem then the light will stay off. I have seen it on here before but I couldn't find it in search. TIA.

If your CEL came on because you pulled the vtec solenoid, then you don't need to check the CEL code. Just pull the backup fuse for 2 minute and put it back in. Remember when you do this besure to have the radio code around if you still have the stock deck.

You can reset the ECU by either pulling the ECU fuse or pulling the negative batery terminal. As mentioned above, be sure you have your radio code handy, as it will be reset, too.
