Default Your riding experience?

Hi I am just wondering what kinda experience you have and your past bikes. Heres mine

1st bike 7 years old xmas morning I get a 197? honda 50cc 2cycle, its a beast and a real bike with a clutch and chain unlike most 50s of today. I had some times on that beast and some spills to, it died after the the gas tank got a small hole on the bottom side and premix leaked all over my motor and I had no idea, well it caught on fire and that was that.

Next bike a 1978 honda xl75 I was 9 now and smarter with some confidence. This bike had lights and turnsignals I took all of that off except the speedo. My first real crash was on this bike and still have the scar on my leg, it fell on me and I was to weak to get it off and it burned me real nice. I outgrew this one no way it would die I beat that ***** off this thing and it still runs today!

3rd bike this bike was actually nice it was a 1996 xr 100 and I thought I was the shiznit on that thing. I had lots of good times on it and it treated me well, learned how to ride wheelies on this thing and it had enough power to keep up on the trails with the others. We sold it to some random people im sure it still runs .

Next bike I am 15 and 6'2 180lbs so its time for something with *****, ****, and vinegar in it so I need a 2cycle. We pick up a 2000 kawasaki kdx220 brand new its nice and really peppy I still have this beast and it loves wheelies and I love it. I also obtain some nice injuries on this bike broken leg (not my fault), and a nice concussion (my fault). I am 18 now and I am gonna keep this one for awhile.

5th bike (kinda) Well my old man use to have a bike so he decided to get back into it so he got a 1998 KLX 300 and rides with me now but his bike has some probs right now . I included this bike because me and old man switch steeds everyonce and awhile.

The future. I wanna get on a street bike in the next year or so probably a cbr 600 or yzf 600 just need to do some research.

Well thats me and now let me here you.

22... I bought my first F4 in spring of 2000 (19), traded it in end of the season on an 01 F4i which I still have... so I'd say I have about three or four summers of riding experience. Love my F4i, would like to someday upgrade but not til I fully can push the limits of the bike.

Whichever bike you get, you will love it... just do us one favor, be safe

I've got an F4i as well, only had it for about 4 months now, and its like the best bike I've ever ridden . . . What else do you need on the street anyway? In twisties, I'm up there with all my buddies who are on 900+ bikes (900RR, 929, R1, busa, GSX-R1000), I never get left behind, in fact I'm usually the 2nd bike back . . . Me and my F4i are inseperable lol

June 2002, bought a 2000 GSXR600 with low mileage for a great price. Rode it a year, put nearly 3500-4000 miles on it and I thought i would be riding it for the rest of my life. Def. bought a 2001 GSXR750 almost a year later and love it with a passion. Will never go back to a carberated bike since the throttle response is so nasty with the fuel injection. The 600 is a great bike to learn on and I am confident that starting out on one is the best way to learn to ride. Been riding my brothers' bikes since 1997 and learned on their bikes as well. First real bike I ever rode was a 1999 Honda VTR1000/Superhawk. Was unbelievable and so much torque. I hope to keep the 750 longer then the 600, but who knows. Love to ride, hate traffic around the NOVA/DC area, but will try to never go down. Gear up and keep the rubber down.

Oh and Harley riders suck since most of them don't have the common courtesy of waving. BAstards. Aren't we all riding with the same purpose and goal? Later.

9 years old, I was riding my mom's scooter and dad's dirt bike :D

fast forward 13 years later
22 years old, Kawi 250 put about 3k miles on it b4 I bought the F4i
23 years old, Honda F4i, have about 13k miles on it now (about 5k is track)
25 years old... still the same F4i :D still have the 250 but girlfriend is riding it

I'm usually the back marker of the group... just like to stay back there and enjoy the road. It's pointless riding fast next to rock walls

good point on the harley riders. what is their deal? another complaint is that they don't want you to ride by them, but some will try to race you, (silly bastards...loud and slow). oh, and they never wear their helmets. I love the hogs and will probably ride one when i lose my youth, but will try to be more decent to other, younger bikers.

I got hooked riding my brother's XR80...

Then I had an '81 Yamaha exciter (250 single cylinder streetbike) for a year or two. I rode it around on my family's ranch and took it on the highway illegally every once in a while.

My first licensed streetbike was a '94 Honda CB250 Nighthawk. Those are good little bikes, very tough, but very slow.

Eventually I moved up to a 600. It was a '94 Suzuki RF600R. Probably the prettiest bike I've ever owned. It was a brilliant blue.

Since then, I've owned a couple of heavy high displacement bikes, the last 2 being a '97 CBR1100X and a '00 GSF1200S Bandit. Currently I have a '97 YZF1000R, which I am trying to figure out what to replace it with.

I've got over 50,000 miles street experience. I've actually lived a few years with no car at all, just a bike. I never regretted it. I've been down a quite afew times, but nothing serious :knocks on wood: just stupid stuff.

I got my first yamaha yz50 dirtbike when i was like 13 i think. It was a little small for me but thats the only bike my parents would let me get. Rode it around for a good year, then traded it for a go-cart, which i regret.

At 19ish, got a '91 kawi ex500. Rode that around neighborhoods for a good year and a half. Still got the bike but its been down like 10 times or so by other friends. I've been practicing my wheelies on this bike.

Now that i'm 21, i got a '02 f4i. Its a great bike. I've had it for about 2 months. I plan on maybe selling it for now, cause of financial issues. Maybe get it again later on.

I don't knwo where you're from, but I've never in my life seen a harley rider try to race a streetbike. I ride with harley owners and as long as you follow the rules of riding in a group, none of them mind. Most wave to me when I'm out by myself, but then there's the people that either don't know the wave or don't care about other bikers.
