Launching 8.5/24.5/13 slicks
You gotta do a longer burnout and raise your launch rpm considerably...
Leave like your trying to break your car...

I only managed to pull a terrible 1.958 60ft and still managed to tie my personal best ET. This was done with 13psi of air pressure and a temperature of 50 degrees. With my smaller slicks(8/22/15) I was consistently getting 1.80 60fts. What advice would you guys give me in order to improve my 60fts. with these bigger slicks. The car is making 355HP and 240ft. lbs. of torque. What tire pressure and what RPM should I launch the car in 50 degree weather? </TD></TR></TABLE>
what was your best et?

Too much pressure. Try 9 psi and go down in .5 psi increments from there. Heat them up good in 2nd gear. Like Superdave said, launch like you're trying to break your car. Seriously.

Suprdave, you gotta warm them up with a 50 degree temp on the track, but keep the tire pressure the same @ first and see what happens. I know you did not want to start breaking parts and if that don't work, start dropping the air down alittle @ a time. Please give us a report on how you do.
GOOD LUCK

try around 7psi and 7000 rpm launch.
that'll get you close and then just make little adjustments from there, one adjustment per run. 2nd gear burnout for you.

I appreciate all your help guys. I will definitely take everyones advice. By the way John, I'm not as worried about breaking something like I was before. It's all part of racing and I'm willing to sacrifice. Thanks for looking out though. Thanks once again to everybody that helped me out.
