I don't particularly "love" or have special loyalty to any car parts companies, but I do like the full exhaust system I have from HyTech. I think you'll get the same type of quality and performance from SMSP as well.
But it made some good gains, 31whp max and 18whp at peak after VAFC/cam tune. Like 10whp across the powerband before tuning. Can probably get it tuned a little more too, such as getting rid of that dip. The motor was getting heat-soaked and was just getting weaker so they decided to call it quits for the day.

There seems to be a pretty big gap between the pro-HyTech and con-HyTech groups. I am very happy with the products that I have purchased, there were a few issues when I first purchased the header and exhaust, but considering I received the 1st header, and the 3rd exhaust I figured that there were most likely some small items that would require revision.
I look forward to upgrading the header in the coming years to a D-shaped primary header with some slight revisions...but that's a few years off when I have to rebuild the engine.
After speaking with John last week, current turn around time on a "normal" itr header is ~2 weeks.

I have a complete header back system, one of the earlier prototype models as well. I have had many conversations with john as I experienced a few problems and he was nothing but helpful. I'm not sure as to others' experiences with him, but like i said, I have had no problems whatsoever. I like the product, I received it at a great price, and that is why I went with them.

no. it should be both.
dunno about you but i wouldn't want either of the following.
a) no performance but will last 100 years
b) great performance but will last 30 days
