Default Questions about perfomance chips.

Can someone just give me a quick run down on performance chips. i ran a search but nothing came up. Well i have a friend who is putting one in his porsche and its giving him about 40 more HP. Is there any such thing for accords? I know there is something kinda like that because i saw some like computer looking thing at the import expo a while ago. So can someone just give me a breifing on the topics i mentioned. And does anyone advise it? And of course....how much money? thanks guys (if this post is crap, bash it)

dont we all wish it's that simply, plug and play huh? more like plug and pray

those chip works for audi and vw with turbo.

for accord, you better off with vafc.

With I/H/E, a V-AFC can be very helpful if tuned properly. Basically, it allows you to control air/fuel ratios, and the like. And also change the V-TEC engagement point.

do some search mang, it's vtec air fuel controller, it alter your fuel air curve, raise or lower the af ratio and smooth out power power spike.

it need some tuning on your car, what kind of mod you got?

why is my joke old, think about it, there's no universal chip you can use.

you think a turbo'ed and built f22's fuel curve is gonna be the same with a 250K miles stock f22 automatic accord?

that's exactly what i mean, plug and pray for it to give you some horsepower.

are you gonna be happy with a setting someguy give you?

i have seen gains of 20-30 hp midrange with a vafc on h22a accords, but that is from moving vtec engagement lower, with peak gains typically being 5-15.
if you want a chipped ecu go with Hondata, have the chip tuned on a dyno oto suit your car.

btw wasa your friends porsche a turbo mode? if so the 40 hp gains are from increased boost most likely.
