Default HELP! DPFI to MPFI PROBLEM!

I just did a DPFI to MPFI swap on my B18A in my 1990 CRX DX. It isn't throwing any codes but it sputters at like 20% throttle and almost dies when i push in the clutch b/c the revs drop to like 400 rpm's then go back up to 600ish. I have gone over the wiring a couple times and I have gotten others to look over it as well, and it seems fine. Another thing is that I can smell exhaust fumes a lot more than I could before. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Sounds like it is running very rich for some reason, could be a few problems including IACV, O2 sensor, and/or vacuum leaks.

Unstable idle sounds like an EACV/IACV (same thing) problem. Is that all the time? Or just before the engine is warmed up.

Mainly just before the engine is warmed up. I found out my #1 injector is leaking today sice there was some brownish stuff on the manifold right under the injector and i could smell fuel, so I am going to fix that. You think that could be my problem?

This sounds a little familiar to me. After my MPFI swap I noticed that the exhaust smell was alot stronger.... Going by what you guys have said, its running rich. And probably the reason why the back of my car is covered in black.... Hmmz....

Any idea what I can do to lean it out a bit?

I have a fuel pressure gauge and it is reading around 40 PSI at idle. I have 1 o2 sensor.

I didn't mess with the TPS at all besides extending the wires. The car actually shut off on me twice today at idle. it also back-fired, should I just get a FPR and turn it down? TIA

Ok, I re-did the vacuum lines and now it no longer stutters or almost dies, but it won't idle properly at all. It's at 1700 then it will drop to 1000 then back up to 1700. Do I need to buy a new EACV? Will one off a B18B work or just one off a B18A? TIA.
