got in wreck, airbags didn't deploy?
I got in a wreck today, I was going about 70 around a corner out in the rural area I live in, and I did a near-360 and put my 99 ls nose-first into the ditch, which broke the bumper cover and bumper support right off the car. The headlights smashed into lots of pieces and we found bumper light pieces on both sides of the road. While all this happened I was expecting the airbags to deploy but they didn't. How can I check to make sure they're even in there?
Thanks

The airbag deployment sensors are located near the firewall under the dash, not in the front bumper, just so you know.

The sensors need a hard, sudden change of direction to go off. You probably just came to a slow enough stop in a soft ditch. Think about how hard and quick a car can stop from 20-30mph on smooth, dry pavement if you just jam the brakes on all of a sudden. You wouldn't want the airbag to pop out then would you?
