how many blinks? probably an indication of a bad switch or solenoid -- the TCU
is probably malfunctioning ... could be just a simple short

the wire harness in the TCU could have tapped one of the main relay to the ignitor (explains why you can't start the car) since they do share the same bundle.

When was the last time you checked your sparkplugs or wires?
Was the d-4 blinking on the dash?

it's late -- no replies so i'm going to bed

try to get the ecu code by short'ng the blue two pronged service
check connector that hangs beneath the passenger kick panel

the CEL will flash a series of long/short flash that will ya the code

go here to decipher
