WHAT???
The same thing just happend to me. It turns out it was the clutch slave cyl leaking. And before that, like 6 months ago, same thing, but then it was the clutch master cyl.
Adjust your clutch height and freeplay, and check for leaks on the rest of your system.

It won't go into reverse sometimes? Or won't go into reverse ever?
If it occaisonally does not go into reverse, which our transmissions commonly do... Try putting it in 1st, then reverse. And if that does not work, let the clutch in just slightly to move it, disengage the clutch and try the gear again. Whatever you do never FORCE the shift lever into reverse when it is not cooperating. If you FORCE it into reverse, you WILL bend the 5th gear shift fork.
If it will never go into reverse anymore, then most likely the 5th gear shifter fork is already bent in such a way as to prevent reverse from fitting into gear.

Also, the 5spds are have a mechanism that won't let the shifter go directly from 5th into Reverse... silly honda guys thought maybe some of us would be looking for SIXTH?!

Thanks for pointing that out. I thought that the R stood for "race" rather than "reverse."
on me.

I have a feeling that they don't know what to do with it so they just want to crack it open.
There was a thread on Superhonda.com that had the solution to this. I am tired right now. PM me and I will see iff I can remember what you need to do to fix it. If you want...you can call me and I will talk to you about it.
Do you still have your car or is it at the $tealer????

Its been over a week now my car is still at the dealer. They said there fixing the tranny its gonna cost around $2000 to fix, but with the warranty its gonna cost me $200. They said they even look for a used prelude tranny and they found one in CA for 1800 but then I would have to pay for labor so they just decided to fix it, and they called me today and said they scratch the car and there gonna fix it and that's gonna take 2 days longer. So its gonna be ready next Friday hopefully
