Default axle match for b16a

I have an 89 civic dx with a b16a and i am replacing the drivers cv shaft. I bought one for a 90 integra and it is about two inches longer than the old one. I was told that this should be the one so could the old one be the wrong one? or do i need an axle match from a different car.

he really means the integra axle is 2 inches shorter... I was there when he pulled it...anyway, the whole sitsuation doesn't make sense. It says S1 on the tranny, so a 90-93 should be correct, right? his axle matches mine-not sure what tranny I have though, so we just don't understand.

another thing to remember is sometings they have the wrong axles in the boxes at the parts stores. who here hasn't used D series axles as cores for the Teg sharts

it depends on what intermediate shaft came on your tranny there were 3 that fit the s1 tranny but you need the 90-93 teg one like i have to make it easy(or else you have to custom mix and match ****) then you just get 90-93 teg axles, remove the dust caps(on a rex) and they fit perfect..both sides. get a teg int shaft from a junkyard and be done with it!

ok I am posting for pikappaphi because of his trial user thing...

basically, he doesn't want to keep buying parts, then realizing they aren't correct...so is there a way to tell what intermediate shaft he has, or anyway to tell what axles he needs for his car? thanks!
