Default Poly Motor Mounts *BAD*

I just got the energy suspension motor mount kit installed and man do wish I wouldnt have wasted my time. I think I am going to take it out. It leaves NO room for vibration absorbtion, NONE! I can hear parts of the car rattle that I didnt know where there! Bad day...........

I got used to it. but whenever I have passengers they're annoyed by it. I guess my senses became so dull that I can't feel it anymore.

Thats why you should have searched before you bought them. Its well know, and common sense that they were going to vibrate.

Did you replace every single mount, including adding the poly tranny mount?

if you install and add all the mounts, including the tranny mount, they all seem to click and vibration isnt as bad.
I used to have all the mounts EXCEPT the tranny mount insert and the car shook violently, after i installed the tranny mount they all seemed to click together and the vibration wasent as harsh.

What you could do is spend a whole day doing hard launches and 1-2 shifts, that'll wear them down a bit, lol

I'm so sick of my drivetrain thrashing around, I think I could put up with some vibration.

I seriously don't even notice it when it's just me in the car. When I've got my girlfriend or some one else in the car that's when I notice it and I have to admit it's annoying. Just be glad you got the energy suspension inserts and not the prothane. You think the ES ones are hard, they're not even close, the prothane inserts are hard as rocks. I've got ES front and rear and prothane inserts on each side. I must say though that it was a lot worse at the beginning. If you can stand it for a couple weeks to a month you might notice the vibration go away a little.

Did the motor mount inserts really reduce your wheelhop significantly? Just curious if its worth the install and vibrations for less wheelhop. THanks

Yeah they vibrate alittle, but feels like the car as a whole is more stable , especially if one of your mounts was torn

Then be glad that you didn't buy the Prothane mounts...I bought the ES inserts knowing what I was getting into, same reason I bought a Type-R. Hell a normal Integra is downright civil next to mine and I don't have anything radical done to my car.

omg I love my ES motor mounts. The vibration is awsome! Makes my passengers fear for their life when they think the motor is going to fall out of the car. Now that is what a car should feel like!

I had avid mounts on my b20 eg and loved them!

see you have to buy the whole package,as mentioned above when you add all mounts together it kind of gets smoother!

it made my car more stable, gave me awesome launch times, eliminated wheel hop for which in return saves you from snaping shafts and for barely any vibration!

my wheelhop is non existant after the energy kit. there is a slight vibration in my car at idle but it's worth it to get rid of the wheelhop everytime you fry the tires.
