Default someone, guess my CR.

cannot wait five weekes for custom pistons from JE, but can get some 84.5mm JE with a 11.5 CR. what will my CR be if I use a 3mm HG with a Ported head that has been opened up to 83mm?

Yea that defeats the purpose of your 11.5:1 pistons.

the 3mm Inline headgasket drops compression 1 point. So around 10.5:1 would be my guess

its gonna be every less because he ported the head combusting chamber to 83mm. Im not sure how much though. Maybe another .5 10:1.

But im gonna go with the other guy...why? Just get 10:1 if you want 10:1.

What this guy is saying is he doesn't have the patience to wait for the pistons he wants.

That's sweet, being impatient and thus doing everything the ghetto way.

This motor is going to run great.

Why spenfd the money if it's not what you want?

there are other piston manufacture's out there, CP, Ross, Wiseco, Full-Race

and if you can't wait check out the f/i classified, I've seen quite a few sets of pistons there lately.
