???? BEST Brake combo for stock size rotors???
i have a 2000 gsr dc2, i need to stick with the stock size rotor for drag race purposes, but want a better caliper. What is the best combo for caliper and rotor. i was thinking of wilwood calipers but dont know what to get. I s there any way i can get a type r size rotor in there. I heard of redrilling for 4x100 bolt pattern. i am new to this brake stuff , someone needs to clue me in.. so far i have been all about go and no whoa... Thanks for your input,....
stock caliper, stock rotor, upgraded pads and fluid should be all that you'll need

what results are you looking for?
If I understand your original post correctly, you are mainly doing street driving and drag racing and are looking for a pad that will work well for both those purposes.
If that's your question then the answer is stock or slightly more aggressive pads and fresh fluid. The fluid doesn't really even have to be anything outrageous... just some DOT4 or 5.1 street fluid. Maybe Castrol LMA, Valvaline SynPower, for Ford HD...

I'm going to hope that you mean from 120 on the track and not on the street... stock caliper, rotor, upgraded pads and fluid will still be fine for you.
I'd suggest pads from either http://www.carbotecheng.com/main.htm or from http://www.cobaltfriction.com/. High quality pads will improve pedal feel and resistance to fade more than you realize... FWIW, most amature race series mandate that the stock brakes must be retained. Think of it this way: if they work on real race cars why wouldn't they work fine on your mostly street driven car? I mean, you can go out and spend big $$ on a brake upgrade but you really don't need new brakes for what you're doing. Spend the $$ elsewhere... maybe some driver clinics or something equally beneficial

Clearly you didnt.
You dont need a very high temp pad becuase you're not abusing the pads - just stopping once.
Axxis ultimates should do just fine for you.
