Default Stupid seatbelt alarm has gone crazy

My seatbelt alarm keeps going off, when I have my seatbelt on. I've connect, disconnect the plugs under my seats, and even resorted to punching it a few times, but the thing won't go off. I think I'm just going to take it apart when I get home, and break that stupid alarm for good. Has anyone has similar problems or any ideas before I destroy it all together.

open up the seatbelt indicator box connected to the rear view mirror and disconnect the wire. that will stop the sound and the light. And you can plug back in if you ever get the seatbelt sensor fixed.

do you mean the light on the cluster? if so, then i'm confused...i did that and it stopped the sound, but the light still flashes...oh well, i've gotten used to it.

I had the same problem but found it wasn't related to the seat belt sensors, but rather the door sensor. Next time it happens grab your door handles and pull them in, the alamr goes away. I had to retighten the sensor on the door jamb as it had came loose.

Worked for me and haven't had a problem since.

what sensor on the door jamb do you mean?

i have the same problem recently, when i have been driving with my seatbelt on for like 15 minutes, suddenly while on the highway, i hear the thing beeping, and i look up at the thing by the rearview, and its showing the passenger seatbelt is'nt on (with that symbol of a person with belt thing), and does'nt make sense cause there is no passenger in the car????

so, you unplug something in the gauge cluster? or by the door jamb or rearview??? sorry i am confused, just need a little more detail, any tips would be appreciated

Thanks for the responses guys, it was killing me in traffic on the way home so I pulled over and used my handy dandy swiss army knife to take it apart and unplug it. I'm just going to leave it like that cause buckets are going in soon. Thanks again
