Default D series fuel cut

Has anyone ever removed the fuel cut from a D16Z6 or D15B7 and seen what RPM's those motors can handle? I have a 3 angle valve job and a bigger cam on my B7, the motor seems like it wants to pull through my fuel cut. What would be a safe RPM?

Well, I know that my stock d15b2 pinged the (extremely weak-sounding)rev limiter at about 7800, so i'm guessing that's as high as that little 1.5L can safely go.

I wouldn't go over 7500rpm. Valves on a D16Z6 or Y8 usually start to float around 8000rpm.

HaHa,I wouldve found out today trying to blow up a 180,000 mile D15B7 if it didnt have a rev-limiter,held it wide open for about 5 minutes with it bouncing off the 6500 limiter only to overheat and shut off oh well, maybe ill try again tomorrow

Sounds like fun i still like my idea though: i'm thinking of takin my D15 on a go-kart chassis, lol.
