fuel cut at 7200????

fuel cut at 7200????
i have a d16z6 and a p28 ecu. i know the stock redline is at 7200 rpms. but i hit fuel cut right at 7200rpms. what the hell? and im not going by the stock tach. i dont even have one its a dx.

So the fuel cut and redline are at the same point. Chip your p28 and make it whatever you want it at.
Have to remember that honda wasnt really designing the civic to be a power machine and getting that extra 200rpm on the fuel cut.

Im not sure actually. Its been a while since I had stock computer doing the fuel cut. I tried to actually do some research on it after I posted and couldnt find out for sure. How are you measuring you RPM? You said you dont have one? Or are you just saying you dont have a cluster tach?
