fuel cut at 7200????

Default fuel cut at 7200????

i have a d16z6 and a p28 ecu. i know the stock redline is at 7200 rpms. but i hit fuel cut right at 7200rpms. what the hell? and im not going by the stock tach. i dont even have one its a dx.

So the fuel cut and redline are at the same point. Chip your p28 and make it whatever you want it at.

Have to remember that honda wasnt really designing the civic to be a power machine and getting that extra 200rpm on the fuel cut.

so that is normal?? doesnt seem normal to have the fuel cut at the stock redline. ive owned many many other hondas and that wasnt the case.

Im not sure actually. Its been a while since I had stock computer doing the fuel cut. I tried to actually do some research on it after I posted and couldnt find out for sure. How are you measuring you RPM? You said you dont have one? Or are you just saying you dont have a cluster tach?

when i had a non-chipped p28 on my z6 it did the same thing right at 7200 so i think its normal

mine cuts out at around 7-7.2, cluster become inaccurate up top

i have an aftermarket tach. why is fuel cut right at redline on the z6 but not any other honda ive owned or currently own?
