T3/T04e Vs SC61
I did a search already using 60-1 but for some reason the search bot will not search for it.
Currently I have T3/T04e (.60 a/r compressor, .63 a/r exhaust) with a 60 trim and stage 3 wheel in the exhaust housing.
I'm still waiting for my Lovefab Sidewinder manifold so I have time to switch turbos.
I'm running a 1.8 LS and aiming to run 13-14 LBs daily(street driven) and I want something that will make that amount of boost around 5,000-5,500 RPM. It also want it big enough so that I can put race fuel in it, crank the boost up for Track and make some good power.
Should I stick with my current turbo or switch to a SC61 with .60 a/r compressor housing, .63 a/r exhaust housing. I'm not sure if I should get the 69 trim or 76 trim exhaust wheel??
I'm not sure if switching to precision sc61 will make much of a difference since i'm staying 13-14 psi on the street
Also, anyone in here have the measurements for the exducer and inducer for the wheels on the t3/t04e

Ur turbo you currently have is probably better for 13-14 psi. I'm running the sc61 on 1.97L block and get 15psi at 5500rpm.
You can still put in race gas and boost 20+ psi on that turbo that you have.

Why drop another $1000+ on a turbo that's "slightly" better than what you have (or ever will need, really). The SC61 is a bada$$ turbo, no doubt...but if you have a decent sized turbo like yours, there's no reason to "upgrade" until you finish your turbo setup now and get it tuned and running. AFTERWARDS, if you feel that it's not enough, then that's where you get into the fancy smancy ball-bearing stuff.

Funny this post is brought up, I have the identical turbo (T3/T04E 60-trim, .60/.63) and I too am looking to trade it out for an SC61 with the 69mm wheel. I do however have a GS-R (8k+) vs. an LS limited to 7k rpm so I have more room to flex the turbo on the top side. For an LS I *think* I'd probably reconsider and keep the T04E.
i got the same turbo ,but i got the 82 ex housing , im hoping it will get me decent numbers, but im looking at the t67 if this one fails to impress me at higher levels.
the thing breathes like crazy on top end though. pulls hard, but i didnt thro w alot of boost at it yet.

I've decided to get a T67/T3.
Going All out now with a 2.0 Liter VTEC

Thats what i decided on too, but still on an 81mm gsr block
