my friend has a 2001 civic LX, and shes smelling something burning, like an electrical fire smell. she says its coming from under the dash on the drivers side, and from under the hood on the passenger side.

got any ideas, or what i should check?

 

maybe its affected by the recall posted here on the same page.

 

Assuming the car is under warranty, he should take it to the dealer. Usually insulation on the wiring around steering column gets worn out.

 

Take it to the dealer u dont want it to up in flames.

 

you could have a plastic bag stuck to your exhaust, but yea best bet is to get it checked out.

right on the money. there was a plastic bag stuck to her cat.
