Default master cylinder n break booster upgrade

has anyone did rear disk conversion and added a bigger brak booster and master cylinder like a legend or odessy and felt a stronger stop? i added a gsr master clyinder and break booster to my cvic dx suspenion and stops great.

i have the odessy master clyinder in my lx break booster and i dont thinkt he pushrod is long enough so i need to find a odessy booter

let me hear your setup

if u have the non-ABS accord, for 5th gens you should have a 15/16" MC. Pickup a 1" MC off the accord EX or LX w/ ABS/4-disc brakes. 1" is the largest MC i've seen in almost every honda/acura, the ITR, legend, odyssey,etc all use a 1" so far.

I dont know if the boosters are any differetn from rear disc to rear drum accords. I don't think it matters that much though.

I believe its the lx booster pushrod that isnt long enough for a ex acord vtec or any 1 inch mc. the lx booster does not reach full potential push of that extra length of the longer bigger mc ,this causing the extra travel of the break pedel till it reaches pressure in the master c by the time the pedal is at almost to the floor, ad yes i bleeded my breaks 100 times or more and 64oz bottle of break fluid and the pedel never got stiffer, only when near floor which i believe the pushrod is shorter

you may be able to adjust the pushrod , theres a nut down there (the star shaped one) for it.

try that. you are supposed to adjust that when you install a new MC anyways.

WELL I JUST GOT HOME and finished my break swap. I got went and fund myself the odessy break booster which is the same as the 94-96 accord ex with abs..took out my break booster and instantly the odessy booster is half the size bigger.... since i got a fuly buit h22a in my wagon, the damm booster barely made it out of my engine bay...ten comes the odessy booster alone trying to get it in my engine bay..... no use.... i had to take almost everything off to get ti to fit in there just like the gsr booster and gsr mater cylinder in a gsr eg hatch, this require taking out the intake manifold... on my wagon... not even gonna say what i did but when i got it in, its like 1 mm all around to hitting anything in my car and witht he master cylinder, damm this **** looks big and sexy in there. Later i used a flare tool to use my stock hardline and used the abs nut that is bigger which my wagon is an lx with no rear disk and no abs..... its rear disk now but i custom made my **** to fit and now with a touch of my boot to the pedal, i am able to stop

IF I WAS U, I WOULD USE THE BOTH PRELUDE BOOSTER AND MC OR GO WITH THE 94 AND UP ACCORD V TEC BOOSTER WITH MASTER C, BUT U NEED TO GET THE ABS FITTIN FOR THE MASTE CLYINDER AND USE YOUR STOCK LINE AND FLARE IT WHEN U PUT THAT FITTIN IN AND U WILL FEEL A BIG DIFF

the prelude VTEC master cylinder one is the same diameter as the accord EX (w/ ABS), 1"... i assume no big difference. It costs more if you buy one for some reason.
