i just picked up a type r exhaust and i just wanted to know what to look at so that i know it really is a type r exhaust. other than the slanted tip connected to the muffler, are there any other visible things i can look for? i searched but couldnt find anything. tia.

 

the piping should be a little bit bigger then your stock one, ITR exhaust is 2.25

 

The slanted cut exhaust tip is welded on and not bolted on like on the other integras. The axle back piping is mandrel bent and not crushed. Mandrel bent piping should have the same diameter throughout the piping.

 

thanks guys. im sure its a itr exhaust cuz the silver tip is slanted and welded on. and im gonna measure the piping size too.

 

the whole exhaust system should look a lil-shiny..bronze-ish.

 

ok i just finished putting it on. perfect fit. now gonna go drive around.
