Window rattle?

Well I've been wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me. When my windows are either not completely up, nor down, the window will rattle. I hear glass vibrating against metal when I go over bumps and stuff.
Well the reason I haven't brought it to the dealer is because I have an alarm that has window roll up that was aftermarket. I wasn't sure if the dealer would warranty the window due to the alarm.
So my question is has any of you that don't have window roll up/down function on your alarm experienced this rattle? And was it as simple as taking off the door panel and tightening the screws into the glass, or was there another problem.
TIA for the help
-Ken

I have the same problem..... and yes i do have a auto window role up on my alarm.... i have no idea what the problem is .. i've taken the door panel off and can't find anything loose.... i probably have to look harder....sorry but i'm really no help...
I had the same problem too on the drivers side. Take the door off and look behind the plastic paneling that is sealed with white grease, the rubber guide may have come off which is causing it to rattle. It was what was wrong with mine. While you have the panel off it might be a good idea to spray the rubber guides with a lubricant it will help the window roll up and down smoother.

Hmmmm...looks like I have a project for this weekend. Does anyone know what kind of grease I could use, or how I could make sure that this isn't a problem down the road?
Mine does the same.... only driver side, there is a Service Bulletin through Acura of America for that. I am to lazy to fix.... With no Interrior enough rattles so that all blend together......
I had that problem and I do not have an alarm that rolls up my windows. Something about a rubber track, or lining that has come apart, they just have to glue it back in place.

Hmmm....I think I'm going to try and fix it myself first. There are not going to be any parts that need replacing right? Just gluing back the rubber track?
I want to avoid the dealerships around here at all cost. Just a bunch of ******* kids with no certification trying to steal parts off of cars. And who knows how long they'll take.
On a side note, does anyone know if it is legal for the dealership to tell you that you can't watch them while they work on your car? The last time I went there for my 15K service they told me I couldn't watch the mechanics. I asked why the hell not? Then they said that they would get in trouble if I hurt myself back there.
That's a load of **** though. I could injure myself while trying to eat one of their three week old donuts too! Anyway, thanks for the help guys.

I believe so, they told me they glued something back in place, and then I wasn't supposed to put the window up or down for 24 hours.
As for them not letting you watch, I think that's bull, I walk around the dealership shop all the time, and that's not even at a very good Acura dealership.

All G3 integras are plagued by this rattling window phenomena. I just excepted it, doesn't bother me as much anymore since I usually have to turn my radio up when the windows are down anyways
dam I got the same problem. I also have '1 touch' up and down for both windows and the pass. window only comes up like 1 inch at a time when I use my driver side control but when I use the passanger side it comes all the way up and down no problem. I took it to Acura they told me what I thought I was going to hear (your alarm causes that and its "aftermarket") When it comes to this stuff I'm lost, the people that put my alarm on are closed (go figure)
i have the same problem, my mechanic told me the same, window track needs to be replaced, but i am going to try lubricating the track with air tool lube and hope it works, the window seems to stck to the rubber on humid days
Nobody found a fix to this problem yet? I have the same issue, I think it has something to do with adjusting the rails?!? Thats what I was told. Also
for anybody who thinks they cannot watch the mechanics its a bunch of B.S.!!
You cant go into the shop it self but you can stand at the entrance and watch. I will never leave my car alone with those fools.

Mine has fallen out about 4 times.. I got the dealer to replace the rubbers but it still fell out after that
Last time it happened I fixed it myself and next time it happens I will glue the rubber in.
My experience is that the most likely time they will fall out is when the door is firmly closed with the window half down.

mine just comes out after putting the window up and down. when putting the window down, it slides the rubber guide off the bottom of the track. I tried to glue it, but to no avail. I dont even bother fussing with it now.
I have my rubber window track fall off which caused a huge rattle but my driver side still rattles a little acura tryed to fix it but still rattles.
As for the lubricant use some silicon spray honda has cans of it.
As for not being able to watch you can watch from outside the garage, but not from inside. This is due to liability if your walking around the garage and slip and fall they could be sued.

Mine was like that when the rubber had fallen out. Now that it's back in it is fine.
