Nittos were never made in 205/50-15 size. Only 205/45 for a 15" rim. But I don't see it listed in Discount Tires ads anymore. So I assume they probably don't make them anymore.
From my own experience, the Nitto's are just as good as the BFG's. I've used both.
My best 60' on Nitto's (17-18 psi cold, 205/55-14) was a 2.218, 6k clutch drop, and according to my friend who was obverving me, I bogged once I got traction in 1st gear. There was slight spinning. This is in my 96 GS-R with only shortram intake and full interior. I weighed the car at 2627 + 155 (me) = 2782. This was just a few weekends ago. Oh yeah I have an Exedy Oranic clutch now (basically a stage 1).
My best 60' on the Bfg's (20 psi cold, 205/50-15) was a 2.230, 6k clutch drop. Can't remember if I had any bogging. When I used the BFG's I still had my AEM CAI, but full interior as well. This was back in April. Stock clutch, though.
And for both tires I rolled through the water box, and did do a burnout.
Everyone says the BFG's are better. I used to think that too until I used the Nitto's. But for what I have (an almost stock GS-R), both have given me similar results. I just wanted to share my experience. For someone with a lot more power than I have, the BFG's may be better, I don't know. I didn't get to experience more with the BFG's before I sold them to Austin, but I'm sure I could have improved upon the 60 ft's.

What kind of burnout did you do to heat them up? I have used both as well and the BFG's shined over the 555r's. They do need to get nice and hot. I do a 2nd gear burnout after the water box. My best 60' with the BFG's was a 1.92...

Both Nittos and BFG's are great drag radials. Mileage sucks, but that's not why buy them is it?

i heard a lot of places have nittos and bfgs on back order...i was about to order mine from this one place but they were on back order there for three months so i got them from this place in arizona....i got 205/55/14.......they should be better than the 205/50/15 azenis i had before...all i could muster was consistant 2.3 with a couple of 2.2s here and there....the 14inch rim should lower my final drive too. Planning on 13.80s

compared to the BFG's. I run 205/50/15 with my BFG's.
