Default best size tires for performance

looking for size tires to put on 17x7.5 wheels. Want to know what the best size is and possible also the biggest size that will fit on a 2003 ep3

why get 17s for performance?
225/40/17 would work. planing to drop?

They may be lighter but it will take longer for them to complete a revolution. That's something you need to think about.

you could probably fit a 245 wide tire on there if you have the right offset wheel.

Why not? All depends what he is doing with the car and how much he is going to spend on the car.

BTW- Im running 225-45-17 Azenis.

i have the 17"x7.5" volk ce28n's with a 43 offset and am going to be looking for my next set of tires pretty soon and was thinking of the azenis but not sure if they'd fit...

those are work emotion crs and are 17x7 with a 42mm offset. i have the same rims but with 215-45-17 nitto neo gens. nice taste ep nezay!

See if you can go 235/40-17. There's a surprising number of performance tires in that size.
