Can anyone tell me if a B16 tranny will make my car noticably faster?? I am currently using a 95GSR trans.... If anyone wants to trade me for a hydro b16, let me know!!!! It's perfect condition, no grinds, perfect for turbo.

The gsr has a stronger open dif and beefier synchros than the b16 and ls. Shorter gearing will obviously accelerate you a bit more with no real effects on your "top end power." It will lower your top speed though.

If you do a lot of daily driving on the highway, I would stick with the gsr tranny since you will be cruising at a lower RPM. If you dont care, I would suggest b16, or if you have the money, get the ITR 4.40 or 4.78 FD. ITR tranny has dual cone synchros which are better than all the rest of the B series trannys.
