I wanna clean all my motor stuff up while my motor is out. Can i just get some Zipties and tightern things up ?

I have no idea what to do to clean it up. I have to Keep PS and A/C, but what to do about hoses and all that mess. Where can i buy nice factory sized hoses that are all clean etc..

Basically, a how-to on Ziptie-ing and hiding **** would be nice.

WHAT?

you want to take out your vaccum hoses and replace them with zipties?

why do you need factory hoses in the first place, are they not factory? and they neon purple or soemthing?

Most auto parts store sell vaccum lines/rubber tubing in various diameters by the foot..

I think he wants to zip tie wires together, like you doing when builidng a computer, allows more space and looks better. I dunno what you plan to zip tie?

He also is just looking to buy new OEM vacuum hoses to replace his old dirty ones. For this just go to Honda, they don't come out shiny and all bling bling they're just rubber hoses.

howd you get that ?

No....

like theres cords and **** running all around hte mtoor bay. Can i bundle some of htem up in clusters, like people do wires inside computers or whatnot to tclean things up cause i have to keep like EVERYTHING except maybe Cruise control, andi dont even know how to pull that.

As for hoses, i meant like radiator hoses and ****. Mine look disgusting. Also, the P/s hoses and A/c hoses could use some tasteful kind of covering (instead of replacing)

bundle up whatever you want.

Just don't zip tie anything to hot things. And don't zip tie any of the spark plug wires.

There is no "how to" on this because there really isn't anything that needs to be bundled in an engine bay. Maybe yours is different because someone has fondled with things...

Why shouldn't you zip tie spark plug wires? I had to zip tie mine to the dizzy to keep them from popping of on hard shifts. After that, I noticed the real time racing Type R's have theirs done the same as me. I don't think they would do it if it would cause a problem. And I know, I haven't had any adverse affects.

Well.. on some cars the wires will cross induce each other and cause a misfire or a wasted spark.

You say you zip tied them to the distributor? Well I'm talking about bundling them up and zip tying them together.

Honda included wire separators for this reason. You don't want spark plug wires touching each other all of the time. It's just common knowledge that you don't do this...

yea all the wires on on a harness.. best thing you can do is maybe bend some brackets back, take out all the support brackets that hold hte hoses, paint the black/blue/polish, whatever your heart desires, then i suggest getting some earl's stainless steel lines for the fuel, get a chatch can with some clear home depot vacum lines, silicon, as such.. thoose make it look nice and pretty.. and then just expermint, wanna run a line under the engine bay, around the fender, cut the wires, re-solder them to the length you want.. etc etc

just have fun with it, you can fix anything
