i have a question for everyone out there that knows about milled heads and high compression pistons
i have a gs-r thats milled 30thou, and im gettin ready to put some usdm itr pistons in my car what do u think my compression would be? do u think it would be to high for daily driving? can i still run pump gas?
anyone please help
anyone please help
about 11.7:1 i think
if i remember correctly .02 =.5 compression
and usdm pistons in gsr is around 10.8-10.9:1

USDM Type R is 10.8:1, GSR pistons should be 10.0:1 and you should be able to run on pump gas...92+ octane only.... with a 30Kths mill....you might even be able to go with B16a pistons with a 10.5:1 (i believe)
You can also adjust the iginition timing if detonation becomes a problem..

For every 10 thou milled off your GS-R head, it should raise your compression by 0.1 and combined with usdm itr pistons your total compression should be at least
10.9:1 but may be high because the gsr has smaller combustion chambers than the itr so the compression may be a few points higher. 11.1:1-11.2:1 or so?

so do this sound like a good setup?
