They are getting some what appears to be some decent numbers with Integra Type R pistons and 2 head gaskets at around 10.8 to 1 compression. They commented that poor quality of gas would keep them from running the 11.5-1 they got initially. I am considering an Si if I sell my M3 and I'm looking for the best bang for the buck upgrades.

e-mail me if your interested in my 95 AA turbo M3 for sale.

2 head gaskets? did they blow one or are they stacked? yes, the new ITR pistons should work. but i assume with a k24 head. the CTR pistons will work very well.

why'd they stack 'em (don't subscribe to ss or purchase them). couldn't they try a thicker gasket, period? interesting

It's common to use 2 when 1 in the size needed isn't available.

You EP3 guys would probably find the series of articles very interesting. They so far have gotten about 177 at the wheels and still have work to do. I think they used ITR pistons which gave it 11.5-1 compression so using the doubled gaskets gave them about 10.8-1. Skunk is doing all the work and I think their goal is about 210 whp. Its white with brake/suspension upgrades and some red Sparco Roadster seats, very cool car.
