my 1997 del sol don't have fog lights, and the button on the dash to turn them on is blank, i'm getting fog lights isntalled and i wanna hook it up to the blank button, anyone know how to do it? it doesn't push down or anythig...

 

umm your kidding right? is there even a button there? if the fogs didnt come stock with the car,..the button didnt come with it either

 

the blank button is out of fluid. that's why it's stuck. There's a reservoir in the engine bay that is near the firewall on the driver's side. Open it up and put in some Redline Button Fluid (RBF) or Honda Button Fluid in there. You can also use water. Make sure it's filled to the top, if it is already, just pour more water. You can get RBF or MBF at the dealership or any Autozone, Kragen, etc...

oh ****,..i completely forgot about the button fluid,...see it wont press down because you are out of fluid like stated above

it's okay, many forget about this. I always keep myself stocked up on button fluid. that and muffler bearings. mine always go out on me. must be the roaring loudness blasting thru 20 blocks of residential neighborhood.

yeah i had the same problem like last week.. i got some of that button fluid from my local honda dealership and it worked like a charm. shout out to Fred in the parts & service dept for his help.

but to answer your question, if the car did not come with fog lights you will not have a button, you can just purchase them at the dealer ($$$) or find a used one somewhere like ebay or the junkyard

 

i know the fog lights didn't come stock ,but i have the 1997 honda del sol s model, wihch do not come with fog lights, or cruise control, so the 2 buttons on the dash board to the left are blank, i'm buying a body kit that has holes for the fog lights, so i'mg etting fog lights to put in there, and i wanna hook it up where the 1993-1995 del sol has their button for the fog lights...

 

could be like the AC button on sols that didnt come with AC...just pull the cover off and see if there is a button behind it
