skunk2 stage 3 cams????
okay the question is i have stage 2 and i want more power. i planned on porting the head, new IM, and Higher Comp. pistons......so i was thinking stage 3s would comp that setup nicely.
the big question is can these cams be streetable. yes i have read the skunk2 website but i would like to know if anybody has actually ran stage 3s on a street car. so anyinfo regarding power numbers and drivability of stage 3s would be greatly appreciated.
thx for ur time

I have never seen skunk stage 3's in person running on any car. But I have seen video's of them and have read a little about them. If the same specs carry over the Hseries, than it looks like the idle will be really rough but they are streetable. What do you consider streetable? to me it's anything running an intake manifold.
BTW Nice engine setup and nice numbers, personally i would go w/ OEM type S pistons and good headwork. Do you know when skunk is releasing the H22 manifold?

yes, they are streetable. i've been driving on them for over a year, they are very smooth at idle. i've had them in my b20 vtec and my b16. let me know if ya got any questions about them.
unless you are 12.0 Cr then its a waste getting those big cams
you need to focus on getting more complete parts for your whole setup
im not familiar with the header you have listed.
do you have any dyno plots you can post?
i would get your head ported, get a better intake manifold (not skunk2) build your bottom end to higher cr, then get stage 3's

i guess since skunk2 is taking so long w/ the IM i will have to go with another company.
what manifolds are avaiable for the h22 beside the ATR and maybe the STR. to be honest i do not want either of these manifolds.
any help will be greatly appreciated

I have not tried them personally, but my local Honda tuner shop, when I was asking him for advice setting up my motor, mentioned to me that his race car engine, a b-series all motor, had Skunk2 stage 3's, and that they were wearing out the valve springs about every 400 miles(10,000rpm engine)....and he's an official Skunk2 dealer.

ok...... what springs?
ok...... what springs?
AFAIK Skunk2 doesn't make a stage 3 for the H22a. We have contacted them many times and they always say 2 stages only.
Bigger cams are not going to help you. You should focus on your current problems with your setuo if you want to make more power.
It looks like you are running a stock 10:1 CR. #1 reason you're not hitting 200whp with those cams.
