Default what could this setup yield?? GSR

my goal is around 220 whp. any thing that you would recomend, do so. building toward daily drive/road race/ auto-x with the best mid-range torque.
b18c1
rs machine 85mm sleeves
85mm ib spec wiseco's 12:1
probe rods
cometic head gasket
skunk stage 1 or 2
ported gsr manifold
DC JDM 4-1 (wanna upgrade to AN-R maybe)

ATS final drive
quaisfe LSD
ACT HDSS clutch

Stick with the Stage 2 if you want 220whp, and you'll want to P&P the head. You'll need the valvetrain (Skunk2, JUN, etc.) to go with either of the cams as well ($$$). The GSR manifold (with the butterflies! I'm assuming you haven't removed those) is probably best for midrange power, so stick with that. Might consider an icebox intake setup for the best torque, and a lightweight flywheel to round everything off.

Im for the most part in agreement with the above statement, except for the Intake Manifold comment.

You NEED an aftermarket manifold to hit those numbers you want to hit N/A. No questions asked. Id stick with the Skunk2 Manifold honestly.

I'd lose the GSR manifold (butterflies= ), go for an aftermarket one...like the skunk2 one

looks good so far, but i don't think u'll hit 220 with that setup. you might want to P&P your head, add injectors, get an ECU and probably hondata, and upgrade the valvetrain, then you'll probably be closer to your goal. good luck!

yea sorry, that was a rough baseline. also:
Hondata s200
full valvetrain(skunk, jun,etc)
ACT flywheel
all fuel mods
some sort of P&P like DPR possibly?

also, anyone running a ported gsr manifold?? how about DPR cams?

n/m w/ 6k on tap you are good to go.

I'm curious to why you are getting a cometic head gasket?
Contact RLZ Engineering for the ported GSR manifold, i was talking to brad and he has a mean way to port it.
If you want to go with a bigname valvetrain go Toda.
Don't use the JDM DC manifold, get a better header or you will be losing hp.

Don't forget to factor in the price for headstuds, new gaskets, cam gears, bearings and dyno tuning.

Personally I would not go with 85mm bore, i wouldn't go over 84mm.

So far I have bought products just to build my cylinder head and it has gotten expensive quick because of the odds and ends

*edit if you are going to have over 12.0 compression, you might want to look at skunk stage 3s or EF-1 cams

cometic was th only one i knew of. any others for 85mm?
do you think the rlz ported manifold will hold up to a skunk2?
i do wanna get rid of the header for an an-r eventually, the street one.
valvetrain will be the brand of cams i get, prob skunk2 stage 2, 3's are for 14:1+ compression. i have already taken all the extras into the factor. i will be building the tranny and engine myself in the winter so no labor charges

nice man, call RLZ engineering up and he'll tell you what he does to the intake mainfolds. You might want to look into EF-1 springs/retainers instead of the skunk 2 springs/retainers.

go to http://www.ef-1.com and just read around there, you will probably learn more in 10 mins, than your whole time on HT.
RLZ's website is http://www.hondaraceengines.com/rlzhome.html
