Default Type S pistons

I have a jdm h22a engine and I wanna drop some type S pistons in there, I figure I dont have to resleeve anything, but can I use the old piston rings or do I need new ones, and with the type s pistons would I be able to use eagle rods, or do i hafta stick with stock??

Are you doing the install yourself or is a qualified shop doing it? Well you should get new piston rings, don't ever use old rings. And you don't have to resleeve the block when you use type-s pistons. And eagle has rods specfically designed to work with those pistons. If your doing the install just make sure you know what your doing before you going ripping things apart, just trying to save you alot of money and trouble.

If you have a 4th gen JDM H22a you can't use stock rods with type-s pistons. $th gen rods are press fit while type-s are floating wrist pin design. You either need H22A4 rods or aftermarket. Or pay a machine shop to rebush the rods.

i find it hard to belive that you know much of anything about engines if you dont understand the concept of overboring.

you might not belive this but we are trying to help you. learn learn and learn some more and then tear apart your motor.
