starting prob with ZC: need help before parts store closes!
Here's the symptoms:
- crank and car will run for a couple seconds and just turn off.
- after that crank all u like and it doesnt catch at all for a couple hours.
- main relay clicks like it should when i turn the key.
- I can hear the injectors prime.
Thats all I have, any suggestions?

same thing happened to my old car and it was the starter sometimes it would run good and once in a while the same thing you described would happen but after i changed the starter i never had the problem again
ah, sorry I don't think I was clear.
the starter works just fine, the engine doesn't "catch"
Thanks for pointing that out to me.

DO you mean by "catch" as crank over or fire? Try the obvious see if you are getting spark?

Just to add to the archive:
The solution to the intermittent starting problem was the coil. Picked up one for a 89 teg and no problems since.
Baz: Yeah I tend to do that sometimes, but I'm back in Milwaukee now so I'll probably run across ya
