Default Rear strut bar for 5th gen worth it?

Is it worth to get a rear strut bar for a 5th gen Prelude? It is a daily driver and suspension mods are yellow Konis, Eibach Pro-Kit, Neuspeed strut bar and Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires on stock rims so far.
As far as I know the bending- and torsional- rigidity is already very well of 5th gen Preludes so I donīt know if it would make any real difference!?
Thanx in advance!

It's not going to make a difference you can feel. It will just consume precious cargo space in the trunk. Save your money.

I would not get the rear strut bar. You are better off getting a rear anti roll bar instead. You would feel the difference alot more ( this is just what I heard - not experience since my rear anti roll bar didn't arrive yet).

BTW- how do you like the Eagle F1s? I'm considering getting them for my stock wheels opnce my SO3s are gone. Thanks

The reason everyones saying this imo, is because the rear aftermarket bars are utter crap. Crap, crap, crap, crap crap!!!! I have DC upper and lower bars and they did make a good bit of difference the balence of the car. However, for $3 at home depot you can get 1.5" steel conduit to make a couple of bars. I tied my two upper a-arm bolts together and it made a HUGE difference. The steel is much stiffer and cheaper than the flimsy aluminum CRAP the aftermarket puts on us. It sounds ghetto but its actually as stiff as my Neuspeed front tsb. Just my 2 cents.

you'll notice a bigger difference from a rear sway bar like ST or Neuspeed. the strut tie bar will help with the steering response a little bit.

Thanks a lot for the help!! I think Iīll save my money then and get something else. The problem with sway bars here in germany is that they have to be checked by our local "TÜV"-office and it would cost me an arm and a leg to make them street-legal. Eibach and the other few brands for sway bars donīt offer them for Preludes....mostly for german cars.

Personally I like the Eagle F1īs very much and I never used any other tires on my cars (except of the stock tires) so I canīt really compare them with others. But since I have them on my 5th gen Prelude (engine is stock except of a K&N drop-in filter and Type-S intake) the wheels donīt spin that much anymore and traction got a lot better. Itīs raining a lot over here in germany and wet streets arenīt that much of a problem anymore like they were before...I can recommend them!

Sorry for my bad english!

Damn TUV! They make everything twice as expensive. They're like the FAA here for approving parts and mods.

if u like proper handling u should get a rear strut bar. i had a front and was wondering if i would feel a difference with a rear bar until i got it. it helps a lot i thought it was well worth it. i would do it again without question. i have tanabe bars, i dont know if the quality of dc compares, my friend had a dc bar and it was hella weak.

not sure how useful they are. the chassis has got a lot of lateral reinforcement.

i wouldn't spend more than $20 on one, because that's how much i feel they're worth.

I do a fair bit of track work at 3 different circuits where i live, You can feel the wiehgt distribution slightly when taking corners at roughly 65mph+.

for faily driving, u cannot feel anything, makes no difference.

Unless you do some hardcore racing, i dont think you should bother with one just yet.
