What Do I Do now???
I just installed my apex'i exhaust and when I took off the factory exhaust I screwed up the cat. conv. If I get a high flow cat will it have a hole for the o2 sensor...or is it possible to make one/ Is it my best bet to buy a new oem cat or just put a high flow on ein. I can get a ractive(toucan industires) high flow resonator for like 75.00. But I do not know if it has a hole for 02. I do not want my chk eng. light on so any info is appreciated.
You could get an O2 simulator if you run an aftermaket converter or straight pipe. I'm not aware of any convertors with the 2nd O2 sensor bung, but you could also have one welded on.

Thanks</TD></TR></TABLE>
Not sure about mounting an O2 sensor on a new converter.
A test pipe is a piece of pipe that replaces the converter - not legal.
An O2 simulator send the ECU a message saying there's a converter installed.

Random Technology hi-flow replacement cats should have all the provisions your OEM cat has for a proper bolt-on installation. They're also 50-state legal.
So I want to keep a cat..so this means would it be better to buy the toucan one i described or just an oem one...-sorry so many questions but dont know about this stuff..and need
one soon.
one soon.
buy one of those cheap hi flow cats for a 96-00 hatch
but be warned the cat's that look like obx mufflers sound like ****
they have a socket built it for an o2
by the way-what type of car and trim?

Of course there are highflow cats/test pipes with the second o2 bung. You every obd2 car owner just ignores the secondary o2? I've had both on my cars, got them from testpipes.com. If you are patient with the lady who answers the phones, you will get a quality product. Call, and you will see what I mean.

I'd say waste you hard earned money on something else and have your cat fixed at a muffler shop( you messed up the flange correct?) that money can go towards something else.
yes.....I messed up the flange preety bad while I was trying to get the rusted *** bolts out...how much worst case it would run me to get it fixed....the flange still has two bolts stuck in but the bolts are grinded away and there is a hole that is all messeed up near the top of the flange.....

thanks for the info..i take to a shop on monday and see what they say..if they try to rape me i will check somewhere else...I guess i am just embarassed to have them see my rig job, i wanted my exhaust at least connected on there.. i have one bolt holding the cat to mid pipe right now and feel like an idiot.
the price depends if you are going to need new flanges to bolt it to your midpipe and header.
if you need the flanges it would be around 155
if you dont need them it will be around 90
i would highly suggest you get it with the flanges,
i think a good hi flow cat is worth the money, it will increase performance and the tone of your exhaust.

If he doesn't let himself get screwed and he finds a decent muffler shop. he can get that fixed for under 50 bucks. better then 180 IMO and better then a high flow cat since his mods aren't much.

ivan is right if you can fix it at the muffler shop go for it, but if not get a good quality hi flow cat with flanges.
