Default short shifter

my friend has an accord, i was wondering if anyone knows what the best short shifter kit to run, i like b&m but i got a teg soo i dunno let me know

the accord runs cables so there are no short shifters made for it the only thing u can get is the adapter that makes it shorter throw b&m makes it

Check out 4bidden and Pspec. Even the oem prelude is considered "shorter".

All you gotta do is cut the stock one and get a adapter i cut out a piece then reweled it together.

i hear nothing but good things, i have went through a shift pattern on one and it was very nice.. but i havent driven with it ... that is until i get my own

Driving it is MUCH better. Any short shifter will feel worse when the car is sitting still. Try and drive it through some gears.

thing shifts very smooth through the gears. my dad (domestic driver) loved it when he drove my car today.

how would you "cut" a shifter?

Stay in your Integra forum...

Accords and Preludes have cable shifters that do not have ball joints like Civics and Integras. Look at the eBay link and learn something new.

i made two cuts one below threads and one about 3 inches from that and reweled it back together so you can keep threads. I also got the short adapter. Works great.

the shifter on his car is pretty long will the forbidden one be the same length with a shorter throw or both

It is quite a bit shorter than an Accord shifter in length, and of course throw. Someone who has it in their Accord can comment on how much shorter it is than their stock one.

its so much shorter than stock. i couldnt believe how nice it was. at first if i took my hand off the shifter it took me a quick sec to find it again it was that much lower in height than stock
