hub/spindle/axle removal problem

Default hub/spindle/axle removal problem

on the spindle part, i've got the top ball joint off the upper arm but can get the lower ball joint to seperate..
the driver side axle i cant get it seperated off the hub...

i've hammered, lubed, pryed and everything i can think of but wont come off...

any suggestion greatly appreciated

heheeh...the ball joint is almost flat that i've hit it sooo hard and soo many times...

and driver side axle wont seperate from hub....

what about that??

hit the arm, not the joint

for the axle.....make sure you pull the hub away while you are hitting it out....use a punch if you have to

a little $6 harbor freight tool + love taps from a 2 lb hammer does wonders.

grind the point off.

Install puller over the ball joint WITH the ball joint nut loose 3 turns. Tighten the puller till it snugs up, then 1/2 to 1 turn more. Hit lower control arm with little hammer....pop.
