What radiator and where to get it
Looks like the JB weld on my radiator isn't gonna last.......what radiator should i get and from where.......OEM from A&H, radiators.com, type r radiator from Mike K at Naples?........there is a place in town that can get me an OEM all metal radiator for $150.....is this good
i bought an OEM replacement (aluminum and plastic again, yea, im cheap!) for $114 plus tax from a local radiator shop (B&B radiator in dallas, tx). installed it pretty quickly after the engine cooled down. of course most people on here have deep pockets and will say fluidyne for $300 but money doesnt grow on trees for most of us!
yeah i like how the fluidyne looks but its pretty expensive for not yielding any HP........plus, isn't it bigger and heavier?........anyway my car has NEVER ever run hot (needle has never gone past 1/4 past C).....i also started using some orange Prestone coolant at the beginning of the summer and the car runs even cooler, especially when on the freeway......today it was barely past C......its never even been like that in the winter time
i got an all aluminum rad from a place out in cali but it doesnt fit perfectly.
one part does not bolt up to anything but still works
i would recommend an ITR since its all alum (wish i would of know that before i bought my no name one) or u can try http://www.candrradiators.com (i think)
i cant find their ad
hope this helps.........

Gotta love my Fluidyne
.
It really is a huge, polished, front-mount radiator
.
Since the Type-R radiator is all aluminum, it's a good compromise. Just don't get the plastic end-tanked OEM junker again -- it's so disappointing
. Some other shops around (like Performance Radiator) makes some good-priced, OEM fit, all-metal replacements. They have a store here in Austin, don't know about San Antonio. Their in-store prices are cheaper than their 'net prices, too. I have a friend who paid cash, and they let it out the door for $140.
Good luck with the fix. At least it's a straight-forward install.
