can i run a b16a1 with a PR4 and not connect the 4 wires (for the vtec,knock, o2)

Default can i run a b16a1 with a PR4 and not connect the 4 wires (for the vtec,knock, o2)

and then just start it? i want to break it in like this, it's a freshly rebuilt LS/vtec setup

It will start and throw a bunch of error codes, and run on limp mode. But it will run.

it shouldn't throw any codes at all as long as everything is hooked up right.

well my friend has a b16 and we stuck my pr4 ecu in there and it worked good, i dont remember if it was throwing codes or not

Dude, make sure you know what you are talking about before making broad unaccurate statements like that.
What codes, why??
The Pr4 ECU will run the B16, LS/VTEC absolutely fine. No VTEC of course.
No CEL's as long as the wiring is already set for MPFI.
