using nitrous with a turbo.... better to use for top end or for spool-up??

really i am just asking which would give me better results. i cant ever get a straight answer about it in FI, and since a lot of the big turbo drag cars seem to use juice, i figured i'd ask

i guess it kinda depends on what your motor can hold and what your goals are. people use it to spool if they have a huge turbo or all the time if they have a small turbo but a motor that can handle it
id say use it throught he entire powerband. at the track you really never come out of boost anways. so you might use it in 1st gear and that would be it. If you have hondata you can set when you want it to turn on by MPH, TPS, and a few other variables

I use nitrous all the way down the track. 125 hp direct port for the first stage, 120 hp single nozzle dry added to it for the second stage that comes on in third gear. There is no point in having to carry 40 lbs of nitrous system on the car if it is not going to "pay" it's way.......all the way down the track

if you are going to use nitrous for spool you might as well hold it down the rest of the way.
I believe Gardella was using it to spool when the rpms dropped to low on shifts and was working on his second stage for the top end. Maybe Ron can confirm that.
