Default Anyone running smaller MT slicks??

Well I found some 6X20X14 slicks for a really good price and thats all I could afford right now so I picked them up. I KNOW its not the ideal slick size, but its surley better than the tires I'm running now, and I'm fawking poor. Anyway, I'm planning on running them at like 13psi, then going down from there depending on what happens.... any input on this?
ABOUT what should I launch at? Setup is Turbo'd B18C1 on 8psi, no traction bars.
Any "special" burnout process I should follow? Just roll through the water, then outside of the water pull the ebrake up, dump the clutch and wait til i see some smoke coming from the wheel wells??
THanks in advance.

Basicly that's it. But with a turbo B18 and a 6 inch slick you'll have smoke out your wheel wells all the way down the track But like you said, they are better than street tires

don't go below 14 psi.

Might wanna launch at idle if teh slicks is gonna have any chance, My SOHC in NA tuned will haze the 20x6x14's when launched at 4500 rpms.

Stradle the water box, use 2nd gear.

Don't need to get them THAT warm. I knew my buddy was taking a pic, so I warmed them up good.

these slicks suck at high end speed. i.e. your speedo says you running 120 mph when the track closk you at 100mph. Small slicks blows.

Did you run with the slicks yet? How are you pulling 2.6 60' with a boosted GSR motor? No traction is what I'm going to guess?!? I pull 2.3 60's on street tires in my Eg/GSR (stock) and looking to possibly get slicks if I can drop my 60' below 2 seonds....

yea, i tried launching lower and higher, while feathering the clutch but i still couldnt hook up for ****. my bald tires didnt help much either. i havent had a chance to run with the slicks, but i did hit 2.3 60ft on my street tires last time i went, even though i was still spinning and had wheel hop. hopefully i'll be able to run on these slicks soon and see how they do.
