Formula SAE members?
I see FSAE mentioned every now and then here and I want to see who else is doing this. I just started this semester at University of Michigan. I'm in the suspension group, and also going to start handling suspension-data aquisition. It's really fun, and the car is sweet as hell. A lot of members tell me that they are practically failing out of their classes because they never go, which has me a bit worried (too many sacrifices to **** it all up for this). It seems like a great way to really get involved in building a racecar...especially the fact that you...build a racecar. Plus, GM, Ford and Chrysler give seminars, money, and job interviews pretty often. I highly recommend it if available.
Also, some of the graduated members are putting together an Open-track car, and looking for drivers. It will eventually transform into an IT car. So, they want us to drive their car...needless to say, I'm looking into it.
What other teams are around here on H-T?

Always wanted to... I think I will when I return to school next year. Always wondered how they picked the drivers, and how many there were. Is there qualifying or somthing timed? Seniors only?
participated on Mizzou's FSAE team, now I go to UMSL, and they don't have a team
i'll be on Washington University's team when i transfer there lol college jumper

At UM, you have to work on the car for the summer and you can drive it the following Fall "season". There's 3+ drivers always testing and then the fastest one drives in competition.
I transfered from the college of Wooster (Ohio), which doesn't have engineering, much less an FSAE team.

I was on the FSAE team last year as a freshman at the University of Delaware. Definitely a **** load of fun...but I'm done school and working full time. I can't go to school for the next three years just to be sitting at a desk for the rest of my life. That's what I realized this past summer.
Have fun,

That's the reason I don't want anything to do with an MBA. The extra money is not worth being a manager/buisnessman over an engineer.
Edit: Oh yeah, I also hate buisness/econmics/accounting.
