How to clean my Spoon 4-2-1 header
It's been on the car for about 2000 miles now and has fingerprints on it and other spots... is it possible to make it come out that gold/purple colour???

I have pollished my Spoon header twice already and each time it has been brought back to a very light bronze finish.
Figure to spend about an hour or more working on it if you want good results.
The products mentioned above will do nicely, but I imagine there are dozens of great products out there. Look for an abrasive cream polish vs. a liquid based polish. I would look for something that comes out of a toothpaste tube.

i just went through this. i installed it without wiping it down before starting it. it was nasty after a few times of driving it. un-luckily i blew my clutch, so while the car was up in the air, i removed the header and polished it with mothers metal polish. it came out looking like brand new! but, this time i wiped it down with brakeclean and it came out a perfect bonze color after starting. i have since wiped it down after i work on the car, or check the oil. there is no way to stop the bronzing of the header, but if you are careful, you can keep it uniform. good luck.
