Default some advice with muffler sounds and some other stuff

i hav a 98 itr... i bought it with jdm exhaust with spoon muffleer and DC 4-1 header...but the rev just sounds awful unless the vtec kicks in, then it is a bit better...i have tried in the past to remove resonater, and even change another muffler, but the sound still sounds awful....
i was wondering if there is a good cheap way to make the sound better....ps: my dad owns a garage...so welding dont cost me a thing....
and also....i heard that civic sir (99-00) and s2000 have a really...and i mean reallly big push when the vtec kicks in...but my car doesnt seems to have that much push to it.. so i was wondering if there is anyway to make the push bigger...and btw....i hav spoon adjustable cam gear on my car....
and my last question is that if there is a way to make those blow off valve sounds on my car...i heard that only turbo cars can install blow off valve...so i was wondering if there is a cheap way to make those sounds...btw...i heard changing the ECU helps...
thanx 4 all ur support...

First, you want vtec to be smooth as possible. For example the s2000 is very well tuned from the factory and is much smoother than the civic si and itr.

What sounds good to you? Deep? Raspy? It's all relative. Removing the resonators will only make it more buzzy sounding.

If you want it to snap, then your car will actually be slower. Get some nitrous or go turbo

If you want smooth, then get a non free flowing exhaust because all free flowing exhausts pop in one way or another.

Oh, if you want a blow off valve sound, you can get an electronic one that has a speaker that makes the sound.

not trying to be an ***, but why do you want your car to SOUND like it's boosted? I mean if you want the blow off valve sound, then go boost. If you want a really raspy exhaust note, go Thermal. If you want a cookie, talk to Famous Amos. Just my two cents worth.

also, for the Vtec to really feel like it's kicking you in the ***, get a vtec controller and play around with the vtec point, try raising it a bunch first, like 5800 or something... I bet that feels a lot better
