Yes, they arent very good, they usually heavy and not made very well... the tire is usually a no name brand also.

not necessarily the 5zigens i was going to buy were 19 pund 18"s
Rota is one of the few resonably priced wheels that are still light. But some people may say the quality is a little lacking in the finish.

I stand corrected.
I've heard some horror stories about Rotas, but all in all they seem to be a good wheel for the money.

What about some of the ads i see with 5zigen wheels going for sick prices...???These wheels seem to be like grey market or something...Are there people buying caps and slapping them on these low quality replicas? I know only of lots of 5zigen wheels are better than others, like my brother has lovely 18" 3piece Heidfelds on his accord, and they are pretty rare to me.

cheapest light rims i know of are rotas.
probably going with a set of 15" subzeros for track days and auto-x
speaking of 5zigen, what i'd really love to get my hands on are some 15" fn01R's...

Yep
I looked into some rota slipstreams before b/c they were light, and fairly inexpensive but from what I heard they bend easily, and on these high quality roads in Alabama I'm pretty sure you'd see me with some do-nuts on the car after a week.

i've had rota's for almost a year now...no problems...as far as 18's though and light wheels, you want to make sure you get some beefy tires so that if you do accidentally hit a pot hole or curb it, you won't damage the wheel...don't buy tire and wheel packages...they usually come with shitty *** tires that don't last long anyways...
